Following moon cycles can be a great way to set goals and reap the most benefits. Woman are especially tied to the lunar cycle and it can be seen through our mentration cycles. Some women always have their "Moon" during a New Moon Phase while others may have it during the Full Moon Phase. The Moon in astrology represent feminine energy and our intuition. Universally it represents the rhythm of time as it embodies our mentration cycle. The moon takes 29 days to complete its cycle and women's cycle is generally 28 days.
There's a 6-month link between a new and full moon. Each new moon will fall into a specific Zodaic Sign and then 6 months later, a full moon occurs in this same sign. This cycle can show the opening and closing of a chapter in your life.
New Moons mark beginnings, and is a ideal time to start anything new whether it be a hobby, project, job, relationship and everything else in between. By using the New Moon to manifest you're laying the groundwork and alining yourself with small victories that press you forward to your hopes, dreams, and wishes. During this time, you want to be as proactive as possible a few days before the new moon and after. You can write down a list of 10 goals (use an even number) and petition the Orisha Chango to help bring your goals into fruition. Don't spend too much time planning on how you will make them happen however do spend time visualizing yourself achieving these goals over a Candle flame or in a Spiritual bath for Chango.
Full Moons are a time for completions, creative outpouring and releasing. Usually what you started working on 6 months before during the corresponding new moon sign will begin to bear its fruit. Full moons are like a giant spotlight and during this time what was hidden can come to light. Full Moons are a great time to purge things that no longer serve us such a personal belongings, negative belief patterns, toxic relationships and bad habits that don't help us propel forward. Emotions can run high during the Full Moon Phase for women especially. During this time, I always recommend to drink plenty of water and submerge yourself in relaxing, detoxing and healing spiritual baths. When our emotions run high instead of reacting outward and making irrational decisions, my highest s recommendation is to right down a list of 10 things that are not working for you and holding you back. You can light a Protection/Open Roads Candle and meditate on your list. After the candle is done, you can burn the list with the candle flame or keep the list and cross off everything you remove with red ink.
